Aziz Family Fall Session at Powell Butte Nature Park

How I met this mama (and eventually her family) is the most perfect example of it being a really small world.

Danielle has a lot of amazing talents (check her out at The Lovely Co.), but how I met her was when she did makeup and hair for a fashion shoot I was collaborating on in the Columbia River Gorge with a couple other talented Portland photographers. Long story short, we found out that our husbands not only worked together, but were hired at the same time and were friends! What a coincidence, right?? We've since become great friends ourselves, and so have our kiddos.

Now, back to their gorgeous session! This family already has amazing style, and when Danielle sent me a picture of her daughter's adorable mustard gown, I just knew that this wine chiffon skirt I had in my client wardrobe would match perfectly, and boy did it!

We had a windy shoot, which really showed off the beautiful movement of that skirt, and kept the sky oh so clear, giving us a stunning background of the mountains beyond the butte. I say it every time, but this is one of my absolute favorite spots in Portland, and if you don't mind a little uphill hike, the views cannot be beat.
